David Gallagher is an American actor, director, and photographer. He is best known for his role as Simon Camden on the television series 7th Heaven.

David was born in New York City, New York on February 9, 1985. His parents are Laura and Vincent Gallagher. He has two older sisters, Catherine and Elizabeth. He was raised in Greenwich Village.

David attended the High School of Performing Arts. He then studied acting at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.

David’s first acting role was in the television series All My Children in 1998. He then had a recurring role in the television series Party of Five. In 2000, he was cast as Simon Camden on the television series 7th Heaven. He appeared in all 11 seasons of the show.

After 7th Heaven ended, David had roles in the television series The O.C., Lipstick Jungle, and 90210. He also had a role in the film New York, I Love You.

In 2010, David made his directorial debut with the short film What Goes Up. He has also directed episodes of the television series The Originals and The Vampire Diaries.

David has been married to actress Katie Cassidy since 2017. They have one daughter together.
