Darius McCrary is an American actor, singer and television producer. He is best known for his role as Edward “Eddie” Winslow on the ABC sitcom Family Matters, which ran from 1989 to 1998.

McCrary was born in Walnut, California, on May 1, 1976, the son of Sharon and Donald McCrary. His mother was a gospel singer and his father was a musician. He has two older sisters, Deon and Donya.
McCrary’s first acting role was in a McDonald’s commercial at the age of three. He made his television debut in an episode of the NBC sitcom Diff’rent Strokes in 1984. He went on to guest star on several other television shows, including The Cosby Show, Star Trek: The Next Generation and A Different World.
In 1989, McCrary was cast as Edward “Eddie” Winslow, the youngest child of Carl and Harriette Winslow, on the ABC sitcom Family Matters. The show ran for nine seasons and became one of the most popular sitcoms of the 1990s.
After Family Matters ended in 1998, McCrary appeared in a number of films and television shows, including the 2000 film Big Momma’s House and the TV series Boston Public and Eve. He also had a recurring role on the soap opera All My Children from 2003 to 2004.
In 2006, McCrary co-founded a production company called Kross Over Entertainment. The company has produced several films and television shows, including the 2013 film Black Nativity and the TV series Greenleaf.
McCrary has been married twice. His first marriage was to actress Karrine Steffans from 2009 to 2011. His second marriage is to Azaria Alfa from 2016 to present. He has three children: two with Steffans and one with Alfa.
