Cody McMains is an American actor, best known for his role as Tyler in the television series The O.C.
Born in Los Angeles, California, on January 29, 1988, McMains was raised in a showbiz family. His father, William, is a stuntman and his mother, Shelley, is an actress. He has two older sisters, Ashley and Brittany.
McMains began his acting career at the age of eight, appearing in commercials and television shows such as Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and 7th Heaven. In 2003, he landed the role of Tyler in The O.C., which made him a household name.
After The O.C. ended in 2007, McMains appeared in a number of films, including The Haunting of Molly Hartley and Sorority Row. He also guest-starred on television shows such as CSI: Miami and Castle.
In recent years, McMains has focused on his writing career. He has published two novels, The Summer I Died and The Summer I Lived.
McMains is married to actress Kelsey Asbille. They have one daughter together.
