Clint Howard is an American actor. He is the younger brother of actor and director Ron Howard. Howard was born in Burbank, California, the son of actors Rance Howard and Jean Speegle Howard. His sister is actress and producer Judy Howard. His father was of German, English, Scottish, and Irish descent, while his mother was of English ancestry. Howard was raised a Methodist.

He studied at Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary School in Burbank. He then attended John Burroughs High School, where he was on the football team and graduated in 1977. He then attended Los Angeles Valley College, where he studied acting and directing.
