Benjamin Morris is an American businessman and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and CEO of the online retail company Amazon.com.

Born in Seattle, Washington, on January 12, 1964, Morris was the middle child of three boys. His father was a successful businessman, and his mother was a homemaker. Morris attended private schools in Seattle and was a talented athlete, playing both football and baseball. He graduated from high school in 1982 and then attended Princeton University, where he studied economics.

After graduation, Morris began his career in the financial sector, working for a number of banks and investment firms. In 1994, he co-founded Amazon.com, an online bookseller that would become one of the largest retailers in the world. Under Morris’s leadership, Amazon.com grew rapidly, expanding into new product categories and markets. Today, the company has a market value of over $1 trillion and employs over 800,000 people worldwide.

Morris is married to MacKenzie Scott, a novelist and philanthropist. The couple has four children.

With an estimated net worth of $67.5 billion, Morris is one of the richest people in the world. He has donated billions of dollars to charitable causes, including education, health care, and environmental protection.
