Yasmin Aga Khan is the daughter of the late Prince Aly Khan and the Hollywood actress Rita Hayworth. She is also the half-sister of Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan. Born in Lausanne, Switzerland, on December 28, 1949, she was educated at the Sorbonne in Paris and at New York University.
Aga Khan began her career as a model in the 1970s. She has appeared on the covers of such magazines as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Cosmopolitan. She has also done advertising campaigns for such companies as L’Oréal, Revlon, and Chanel. In addition to her modeling career, Aga Khan has also acted in a number of films and television shows. Some of her film credits include Ash Wednesday (1973), The Cassandra Crossing (1976), and Orca (1977). She has also guest-starred on such television shows as Magnum, P.I. (1980), Hart to Hart (1981), and Hotel (1983).
In addition to her modeling and acting careers, Aga Khan is also a philanthropist. She is the president of the Alzheimer’s Disease International Foundation and the American Alzheimer’s Association. She is also a member of the board of directors of the Aga Khan Foundation USA.
Aga Khan has been married three times. Her first husband was the actor Armand Assante, with whom she has a daughter, Yasmine. Her second husband was the businessman Christopher Jones, with whom she has a son, Andrew. She has been married to her third husband, the Italian prince Marco Tarocco, since 1998. She has no children with him.
Aga Khan is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. She has dark brown hair and hazel eyes.
