Steve Parrish is a retired professional motorcycle racer and television personality. He is best known for his career as a commentator on the BBC’s MotoGP coverage.
Parrish was born in London, England on October 6, 1947. He is the son of professional motorcycle racer Bill Parrish. His older brother, Alan, was also a professional motorcycle racer. Parrish began racing motorcycles at the age of 16. He won the British 125cc Championship in 1968 and the 250cc Championship in 1970.
Parrish retired from racing in 1977. He then became a commentator on the BBC’s MotoGP coverage. He has also appeared on various other television shows, including Top Gear and The Grand Tour.
