Mark Driscoll is an American pastor and author who serves as senior pastor of Trinity Church in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is also the founder of The Resurgence, a network of churches. Driscoll was born on October 11, 1970, in Seattle, Washington. He is the eldest of three children. His father was a Baptist minister and his mother was a schoolteacher. Driscoll was raised in a Christian home and attended a Baptist church. He graduated from high school in 1988 and went on to attend Seattle Pacific University.

He graduated with a degree in communications in 1992. Driscoll began his career as a youth pastor at a small church in Seattle. He later became the senior pastor of Mars Hill Church, a megachurch in Seattle. Under his leadership, the church grew to become one of the largest churches in the United States. Driscoll is a controversial figure within the Christian community. He has been accused of plagiarism, sexism, and racism.

In 2014, he resigned from Mars Hill Church amid allegations of misconduct. Driscoll has authored several books, including Real Marriage: The Truth About Sex, Friendship, and Life Together and Who Do You Think You Are? Finding Your True Identity in Christ.
