Louis Levy (born December 12, 1990) is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He is best known for his work on the television series Brooklyn Nine-Nine, for which he won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy in 2014.

Early Life

Levy was born and raised in New York City, New York. His parents are of Jewish descent. He has two older sisters. He attended the High School of Performing Arts and graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.


Levy began his career as a stand-up comedian. He has appeared on television shows such as 30 Rock, The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Saturday Night Live. He has also had roles in films such as Date Night, Get Hard, and The Intern.

In 2013, Levy was cast as the lead in the Fox television series Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The show was a critical and commercial success, and Levy won a Golden Globe Award for his performance in 2014. The show was cancelled by Fox in 2018 but was picked up by NBC for a sixth season.

Levy has also produced and directed several films, including the short film Greg’s Last Day (2012) and the feature film Staten Island Summer (2015).
