Kristin Booth is a Canadian actress, best known for her work in television and film.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on April 23, 1981, Booth was raised in a family of actors. Her father, Michael Booth, is a well-known Canadian character actor, and her mother, Christine Horne, is also an actress. Booth has two older sisters, both of whom are also in the entertainment industry.
Booth began her career as a child actress, appearing in various commercials and television shows. She made her film debut in the 1997 film “The Ice Storm”, and has since appeared in such films as “The Five Senses” (1999), “The Weight of Water” (2000), “The Sweet Hereafter” (1997), “eXistenZ” (1999), “Possible Worlds” (2000), “The Claim” (2000), “The Republic of Love” (2003), “My Life Without Me” (2003), “Away from Her” (2006), “Fugitive Pieces” (2007), “Adoration” (2008), “The Trotsky” (2009), “Take This Waltz” (2011), and “Maps to the Stars” (2014).
Booth has also appeared in numerous television series, including “Traders” (1996-2000), “Soul Food” (2000-2004), “Slings & Arrows” (2003-2006), “The Border” (2008-2010), “Cracked” (2013-2014), and “Orphan Black” (2013-2017).
Booth has been nominated for several awards for her work, including a Genie Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Away from Her”, and a Canadian Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Orphan Black”.
Booth is married to actor Shawn Doyle, with whom she has two children.
