Joe Horn is a former American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for thirteen seasons. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fifth round of the 1991 NFL Draft, and he also played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons. Horn was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and a two-time All-Pro. He ranks second in Saints history in receiving yards (7,622) and third in receptions (523).
Born in Dallas, Texas, Horn grew up in Mesquite, Texas, and played high school football at Mesquite High School. He played college football at Itawamba Community College and then at Mississippi Valley State University.
Horn began his NFL career with the Saints in 1991, and he played for the team for eleven seasons. He was selected to four Pro Bowls and was a two-time All-Pro selection. He ranks second in Saints history in receiving yards and third in receptions.
Horn signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2003, and he played for the team for two seasons. He was released by the Chiefs after the 2004 season.
Horn signed with the Atlanta Falcons in 2006, and he played for the team for one season. He was released by the Falcons after the 2006 season.
Horn retired from the NFL after the 2006 season. He finished his NFL career with 523 receptions for 7,622 yards and 54 touchdowns.
After his retirement from the NFL, Horn worked as a coach at Mesquite High School. He also worked as a commentator for Fox Sports Radio.
Horn was inducted into the Mississippi Valley State University Sports Hall of Fame in 2012.
Horn is married to Michelle Horn, and the couple has three children.
