Jessica Day George is an American author of young adult fantasy novels. She has also written a picture book and a middle grade series. Her debut novel, Dragon Slippers, was published in 2006.

George was born in Idaho in 1977. She grew up in a small town with her parents and two older sisters. She attended Brigham Young University, where she majored in English and minored in editing. After graduation, she worked as an editor for a small publishing company.
