Jeff Speakman is an American actor, martial artist, and producer. He is best known for his leading role in the 1991 film The Karate Kid Part III and for his starring role in the television series The Young and the Restless.

Speakman was born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 10, 1961. His parents divorced when he was four years old, and he was raised by his mother, a schoolteacher. He has two older sisters. Speakman began studying martial arts at the age of seven and earned his black belt in karate at the age of eighteen. He also competed in taekwondo and won several championships.

Speakman attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he studied business administration. He left college after one year to pursue a career in acting. He moved to Los Angeles and began appearing in television commercials. His first film role was in the 1984 film The Karate Kid, in which he played a small role as one of the bullies who torment the film’s protagonist, Daniel LaRusso (played by Ralph Macchio).

Speakman’s breakout role came in the 1991 sequel The Karate Kid Part III, in which he played the lead villain, Mike Barnes. The film was a commercial success, grossing over $59 million at the box office.

Following the success of The Karate Kid Part III, Speakman starred in a number of action films throughout the 1990s, including The Perfect Weapon (1991), Street Fighter (1994), and Anaconda (1997). He also had a recurring role on the television series The Young and the Restless from 1994 to 1995.

In recent years, Speakman has appeared in a number of direct-to-video films and television movies. He has also appeared on episodes of the television series NCIS: Los Angeles and Hawaii Five-0.

Speakman is a black belt in karate and taekwondo. He is also a certified instructor in Jeet Kune Do, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai.

Speakman has been married twice. His first marriage was to actress Shannon Tweed from 1987 to 1993. They have two children together. Speakman married his second wife, actress Kristy Swanson, in 2001. They have one child together.
