Ferland began his career directing music videos for artists such as George Clinton, INXS, and Sting. He made his feature film debut with the 1992 film The Hand That Rocks the Cradle. He has since directed films such as The Substitute (1996), Can’t Hardly Wait (1998), The Skulls (2000), and End of Days (1999).
Ferland has also directed episodes of television series such as The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, Justified, and The Walking Dead.
