Glenne Headly was born on March 13, 1955, in New London, Connecticut, to parents Rodney and Esther Headly. She has two older brothers, Bradford and Peter. Headly began her acting career in regional theater productions in the 1970s. She made her Broadway debut in the 1980 production of “The Crucible” opposite Kevin Kline. Headly’s film debut came in the 1984 comedy “Fletch.” She went on to appear in such films as “Dick Tracy” (1990), “Mr. Holland’s Opus” (1995) and “Lethal Weapon 4” (1998). Headly also had a recurring role on the television series “ER” (1998-1999). In 2017, Headly starred in the Hulu series “The Path.”

Headly’s first marriage was to actor and director John Malkovich. The couple had two children together before divorcing in 1988. Headly was married to actor Dennis Quaid from 1991 to 2000. The couple had one child together. Headly has been married to actor and director Byron McCulloch since 2009.
