Bob Hall (born October 28, 1961) is an American professional golfer who has competed on the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour.
Born in Dallas, Texas, Hall began playing golf at an early age and quickly developed into a top junior player. He won the 1979 U.S. Junior Amateur and was a member of the 1981 Walker Cup team. Hall attended the University of Houston, where he was a two-time All-American (1980, 1981). He turned professional after graduating in 1982.
Hall’s professional career got off to a slow start, as he failed to make it through PGA Tour Qualifying School in his first three attempts (1982-84). He finally earned his Tour card for the 1985 season and went on to enjoy a solid rookie year, finishing in the top-25 on the money list and earning Rookie of the Year honors.
Hall’s best year on Tour came in 1987, when he won his first and only PGA Tour title at the Kemper Open. He also had a runner-up finish at the Los Angeles Open and finished the year ranked 19th on the money list.
Hall’s career took a turn for the worse in the early 1990s, as he struggled with injuries and poor form. He lost his Tour card in 1992 and spent the next several years bouncing back and forth between the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour.

In 1998, Hall finally regained his full Tour status by finishing second on the Nationwide Tour money list. He went on to enjoy a solid year on Tour, finishing in the top-40 on the money list.
Hall’s career began to wind down in the early 2000s, as he started to play less and less on Tour. He made just 13 starts in 2003 and 2004 combined. In 2005, he played just four events before announcing his retirement from professional golf.
Since retiring from competitive golf, Hall has worked as a golf commentator and analyst for various television networks. He has also been active in course design and has opened his own golf academy.
