Benjamin Mitchell is an American actor, best known for his role as Caleb in the television series The Vampire Diaries.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 14, 1988, Mitchell was raised in a small town in the state. His parents were both teachers, and his older sister is a doctor. Mitchell graduated from high school in 2006 and then attended the University of Georgia, where he studied acting.

After college, Mitchell moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. He landed his first role in 2009, appearing in an episode of the television series CSI: Miami. He went on to have guest roles on a number of other shows, including Castle, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Rizzoli & Isles.

In 2013, Mitchell landed his most famous role to date, playing Caleb in The Vampire Diaries. He appeared in a total of 33 episodes of the show over the course of three seasons.

Since The Vampire Diaries ended, Mitchell has had roles in the films Truth or Dare (2018) and The Intruder (2019). He has also appeared in the television series Station 19 and S.W.A.T.

Mitchell is married to actress Nicole Ari Parker. The couple has two children together.
