Adrienne-Joi Johnson is an American actress, singer, and dancer. She is best known for her roles in the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and The 4400.

Johnson was born in Los Angeles, California, on October 30, 1968. Her father, George Johnson, was a jazz musician, and her mother, Lois Johnson, was a homemaker. She has two older sisters, Gina and Pam. Johnson’s parents divorced when she was four years old, and she was raised by her mother.
Johnson began her career as a dancer, appearing in several music videos and touring with Madonna as a background dancer on the Blond Ambition World Tour in 1990. She made her film debut in the 1992 film Juice.
Johnson’s breakout role came in 1993, when she was cast as Nia on the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She appeared in all seven seasons of the series, from 1993 to 1999.
In 2004, Johnson starred as Lily Tyler in the science fiction series The 4400. The series ran for four seasons, from 2004 to 2007.
Johnson has also appeared in the films The Brady Bunch Movie (1995), How to Make an American Quilt (1995), and Girlfriends (2000).
Johnson has been married twice. Her first husband was actor Dwayne McDuffie, whom she married in 1992. The couple divorced in 1995. Johnson married actor John Billingsley in 1999. The couple have two children together.
