Tom Mann (born October 9, 1961) is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and director. He is best known for his role as Jerry Seinfeld in the television sitcom Seinfeld (1989–1998), which he created and wrote with Larry David. Mann has also directed and produced films, including The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005) and Knocked Up (2007). His net worth is estimated at $800 million.
Mann was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Jewish parents. His father, Max, was a taxi driver and his mother, Helen, was a homemaker. He has two older sisters, Linda and Debbie. Mann attended Hebrew school and had a Bar Mitzvah ceremony. He later graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School.
Mann began his career as a stand-up comedian in the 1980s. He appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and Late Night with David Letterman. In 1989, he was cast as Jerry Seinfeld in the sitcom Seinfeld. The show was a huge success, and Mann won several Emmy Awards for his performance.
After Seinfeld ended in 1998, Mann starred in the sitcom The King of Queens (1998–2007). He also directed and produced several films, including The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005) and Knocked Up (2007).
Mann has been married twice. His first wife was actress Lisa Edelstein. They divorced in 1993. Mann married his second wife, Jillian, in 1999. They have two children together.
