Suzanne Shaw is an English actress, singer and television personality. She is best known for her roles in the soap operas Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, and as a member of the pop group Hear’Say.

Shaw was born on September 29, 1981, in Bury, Greater Manchester, England. She is the daughter of Colin and Marilyn Shaw. She has two older sisters, Sarah and Amy. Shaw attended Woodhey High School in Ramsbottom.

Shaw’s acting career began when she was cast as Emma Barton in the soap opera Emmerdale in 1998. She left the show in 2000 to pursue other projects. In 2002, she appeared in the film The Last Minute. In 2003, she joined the cast of Hollyoaks, playing the role of Hazel Rhodes. She left the show in 2006.

In 2001, Shaw auditioned for the British reality television show Popstars: The Rivals. She was selected as a member of the pop group Hear’Say. The group’s debut single, “Pure and Simple”, topped the UK Singles Chart. Hear’Say released two studio albums before disbanding in 2002.

Shaw has appeared in a number of stage productions, including Chicago (2002), Grease (2003), and Cabaret (2004). In 2008, she appeared in the West End production of Shout! The Mod Musical.

Shaw has been married twice. Her first marriage was to actor Jason King in 2001. The couple divorced in 2006. Shaw married Matt Evers in 2018. The couple have two children together.
