Scott Lowell is an American actor, best known for his role as Quentin Costa in the Showtime series Queer as Folk.

Born in Denver, Colorado, Scott Lowell was raised in a small town in the Rocky Mountains. His parents were both teachers, and he has two older sisters. Lowell began acting in high school, and after graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television.

Lowell’s first major role was in the 1999 film Jawbreaker, where he played a high school student who is blackmailed into killing his best friend’s girlfriend. He has also appeared in the films Road Trip, Legally Blonde, and The Ring Two.

In 2000, Lowell began appearing in the Showtime series Queer as Folk, where he played Quentin Costa, a gay man who is HIV-positive. The show ran for five seasons and ended in 2005.

Since Queer as Folk ended, Lowell has appeared in a number of television shows, including Nip/Tuck, CSI: Miami, and Castle. He has also had roles in the films The Last Kiss and The Informers.

Lowell is married to actress Jennifer Elise Cox. They have two children together.
