Rollins attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater in 2000.

Rollins began her acting career in 2001, with a role in the independent film Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story. She has since appeared in a number of films and television series, including The L Word (2004–2009), The Chicago Code (2011), Ray Donovan (2013), and S.W.A.T. (2017).
