1[on Marion Cotillard] She's my most beautiful encounter cinema-wise. We resemble each other, we both hate jealousy between girls.
2When I read the script of Inglourious Basterds (2009), I was like, wow, it's been my dream to kill [Adolf Hitler] since I was like four, so I was kind of like Shosanna, already. I'm Jewish. I read the script, together with my grandfather, and he told me, "You have to make that movie, please". So, it was not just for me, it was for my family.

1Did not learn, nor understand or speak, any English until the filming of Inglourious Basterds (2009) in 2009.
2Returned to work 6 months after giving birth to her son Leo to begin filming Boomerang (2015).
3Gave birth to her 1st child at age 30, a son Léo on September 30, 2013. Child's father is her boyfriend.
4She has both Ashkenazi Jewish (from Poland) and Sephardi Jewish (from Tunisia) ancestry.
5She is the host of the 64th Cannes Film Festival.
6She is also a singer, she recently released new songs, such as: "Everything You are not Supposed to Be", with Damien Rice, and "Kiss".
7Friends with Marion Cotillard and Mélanie Doutey.
8Daughter of Annick, a ballet teacher, and Pierre Laurent, a voice actor.
