John Salmons is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on July 4, 1979, in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Shirley Salmons. He has two brothers, James and Joseph, and two sisters, Jennifer and Jessica. Salmons attended the University of Miami, where he played college basketball for the Hurricanes. He was drafted in the second round of the 2002 NBA draft by the San Antonio Spurs. He has also played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans, Atlanta Hawks, and Toronto Raptors. Salmons was a member of the Chicago Bulls team that won the NBA Championship in 2010. He has a career NBA earnings of over $50 million.
