Jameson Parker is an American actor best known for his role as A.J. Simon on the television series Simon & Simon.
Parker was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of James Parker Jr., a doctor, and his wife, Shirley (née Shrieves). He has two sisters, Pamela and Nancy. Parker was educated at the Gilman School and the University of Virginia, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.
Parker began his acting career in the early 1970s with guest appearances on such television shows as The Waltons and Gunsmoke. His first major role came in 1976 when he was cast as A.J. Simon on Simon & Simon. The show ran for eight seasons and Parker remained with the series until its cancellation in 1988.
In addition to his work on Simon & Simon, Parker has also appeared in a number of made-for-television movies and guest-starred on such television shows as The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, and Hotel.
Parker has been married three times. His first marriage was to actress Darlene Conley; the couple divorced in 1977. Parker’s second marriage was to actress Catherine Hickland; the couple divorced in 1992. Parker’s third marriage is to actress Kristyn Green; the couple has been married since 1995.
Parker has two children from his first marriage, a son, Jamie, and a daughter, Tracy. He also has a stepson, Dylan Green, from his third marriage.
Parker currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
