Eisenberg was born on August 2, 1992, in East Brunswick, New Jersey, to parents Amy and Barry Eisenberg. She has two older sisters, Jesse and Kerri. Eisenberg was raised in a Jewish household and had a Bat Mitzvah ceremony. She began acting at the age of six, appearing in a national commercial for Pepsi.

Eisenberg’s breakout role came in 1998, when she played the title character in the film Paulie. She received critical acclaim for her performance, and the film was a box office success. Eisenberg went on to star in the films The Insider (1999), Beautiful (2000), and Bicentennial Man (1999). She has also appeared in the television series Mad About You and The King of Queens.
