Geeta Kapoor is an Indian film actress and choreographer who has worked in Hindi films. She was born on 15 February 1972 in Mumbai, India. Her father, Roshanlal Kapoor, was a film producer and her mother, Shakuntala Kapoor, was a homemaker. She has two sisters, Rima Jain and Ritu Kapoor. She did her schooling from St. Xavier’s High School, Mumbai and graduated from Mithibai College, Mumbai.
She started her career as a background dancer in the film ‘Hero’ (1983). She has also worked as a choreographer in films like ‘Rangeela’ (1995), ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ (1997) and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ (2001). She has also appeared in films like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (1995), ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ (1998) and ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ (2003).
She was married to Suresh Chatwal, a film producer, but the marriage ended in divorce. She has two sons, Kunal Kapoor and Karan Kapoor.
As of 2020, her net worth is estimated to be Rs. 20 crore (US$2.8 million).
