Byrne Piven is an American actor, director, and producer. He is best known for his work on the television series Entourage and the film The Fighter.
Piven was born in New York City, New York, on October 28, 1965. His father, Joyce, was a teacher and his mother, Byrne, was an actress. He has two sisters, Shira and Lauren. Piven was raised in a Jewish household and attended Hebrew school.
Piven’s interest in acting began at a young age. He made his film debut in the 1981 film The Lords of Flatbush. He also appeared in the films Lucas (1986), Say Anything… (1989), and PCU (1994).
In 2004, Piven starred in the HBO series Entourage. The show was a critical and commercial success. It ran for eight seasons and ended in 2011.
Piven’s other television credits include guest appearances on Seinfeld, Ellen, The Larry Sanders Show, and Just Shoot Me!.
In 2010, Piven starred in the film The Fighter. The film was a critical and commercial success. Piven’s performance earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
